Animal Welfare means Human Welfare

This is what we do:

Animal Birth Control Program aims at  effectively controlling the population of stray dogs ,reduce the incidence of rabies and to stop the brutal and inhumane killing of healthy stray dogs.

Equine Street Clinic provide working horses, ponies and donkeys in and around the Nilgiris district with a basic veterinary care, including deworming, tetanus vaccinations, teeth rasping and wound treatments. 

Donated by the Abu Babaji Trust, IPAN’s veterinary clinic is situated on the Hill View Farm Animal Refuge in Mavanalla village.

Text Box: We provide training for farmers and villagers in good animal husbandry, preventive medicine and first aid.

Animal Field Worker  (AFW) training

Rescue and treatment of injured wild animals, environmental awareness and exposing of poaching etc. are part of IPAN’s Wild Matters program.

In 2007-2008 alone, IPAN has sterilized over 5800 dogs in the Nilgiris.

In 2008-2009, IPAN Equine Street Clinic service is supported by SPANA.

In 2008, totally 4399 animals were treated by IPAN’s veterinary service

Lintas Media Group supported Wild Matters in 2008.

AFW training is supported by HESY and EKY (Finland) in 2007-2009.
